A Different Future Begins With a Different Story

 

I believe every generation is given two gifts: an inheritance and a choice.

 

We inherit the stories, beliefs, and systems created by those who came before us. But we also have the opportunity and the responsibility to decide what we will leave behind for those who come after us.

 

My Mission

 

No one is born believing that one human being is worth more than another.

 

Those ideas are taught.

 

The stories we inherit become the beliefs we carry.

 

Our beliefs influence how we see other people.

 

How we see other people influences how we use the power we've been given.

 

That power can heal or harm. It can restore or separate. It can honor human dignity or deny it.

 

Beliefs do not remain ideas. In the hands of people with power, they become laws, policies, and institutions that determine whether others experience dignity or dehumanization, restoration or separation, opportunity or oppression.

 

If we want to build a different future, we must first have the courage to tell a different story.

 

My mission is to help individuals, communities, organizations, and institutions rethink the assumptions that shape their decisions.   Because when we begin with the truth about human worth, we can build systems rooted in truth, justice, and restoration.

 

Transformation begins long before policies are rewritten. It begins when we tell the truth about the stories we've inherited. When we change those stories, we change what becomes possible.

 

My Vision

 

I envision a future where we stop trying to improve systems built on faulty assumptions about human worth.

 

No matter how well-intentioned we are, a false foundation will never produce a different outcome. Real transformation begins by replacing the foundation itself.

 

Jesus invited us to become like children. I believe that invitation should also change the questions we ask.

 

Instead of asking how to make broken systems work better, what if we asked:

 

What kind of system would children choose?

 

I believe children would choose a world where families receive support instead of separation.  

 

Where relationships are protected instead of disrupted.

 

Where children remain connected to their families, culture, identity, and community.

 

Where those entrusted with the greatest power bear the greatest responsibility.

 

I invite every leader, every organization, every community, and every nation to ask one fundamental question:

 

Do our systems reflect the truth about human worth?

 

If the answer is no, we have both the opportunity and the responsibility to build something better.
